Great photo. Too bad Endeavour is looking rather "scavaged" now

This is just a temporary configuration, later this year the OMS pods will be back on with the inert thruster bells, The Inert Main Engines will be installed and the inert RCS pod will be placed back in the nose reading Endeavour for her trip to California sometime in 2012.

This is a cool view, but it makes me sad to see all the engines removed like this. I miss the space shuttles already! I'm excited to see what comes next for space though

I have a question ...
Why is the nose and removed the fuel tanks of the tail? =o .o=

Those items will be replaced with inert components that resemble the real control systems for museum display.

Well the outside of the FRCS and the OMS pods will remain intact, but the Hydrazine tanks and plumbing will be removed. This is done so that the nasty hydrazine fuel cant leak out of the orbiters.
As for the Main engines, they have been removed and engine bells with mounting brackets will be installed called RSME's. The regular SSME's will be used for SLS until depletion, and then it will be replaced by an expendable version called RS-25E. All of this is mentioned here:

I see ... I thought so.
Like the three main rocket, which I reused for the next ship ...
Someday I will visit their respective museums, is one of my big dreams.
