Um... This has been a concept in my head for months now...
It started in a weird dream in camelot. Sonic was walking out into the forest at night, while the moon was blood red. He felt a little weird as he got further away from the castletown. Once he was a distance away, the town started burning down. Sonic ran over to try and stop it, but he ran into the Knights of the Round Table. They were his enemies, and had red stuff flowing around them, similar to Infinite's power. (I kid you not, this was before Infinite was introduced) Sonic almost fought them, when a weird guy from BOTW LOZ named "Robbie" (the guy who builds you guardian arrows with his robot) come over to Sonic, except he's a lot darker, and more threatening. Apparently he's controlling the Knights, and says something to Sonic that I don't remember. Something like "Hero" in a mockingly way. Then he comes over to Sonic, somehow causing him to fall over from being tired.
Robbie walks over and kicks Sonic down, then disappears. The knights disappear as well, and a guard runs over. Sonic now has a red thingy in his chest, that the guard stabs with his sword, leaking out most of the icky red and black stuff. Sonic feels a bit better, and goes to the town to save poeple form the fire.

My dream did a time skip there, but after two years of being in another world, and Sonic had gotten rid of most of the stuff in his chest. He was with some Rito-Zoras of some sort, and he wore desert clothes which looked like his boom design, only having a larger scarf, and more gear. they stood on top of a canyon, looking at the sun as it set. Amy and Tails flew above them, unnoticed by them at all. Amy held Tails' electronic thingy, which controlled one of the Rito-Zoras. Amy talked through her voice, telling Sonic to come home to them. Sonic decided it'd be best, and said goodbye to them as he ran off with the Tornado following them.

The end..?

I dunno why I remember that dream SO well. It's just... so clear in my head.
Now you guys know how I get my concepts... 8I

I added a few details to it, realizing it could make a good one-shot.
So... If you guys would like to see it in the future (probably after Sonic Timelines is done, which will probably be after acr 4 or 5, and I change a few things to have it make more sense) then please tell me.
