Well, it is different when they call you the name in your username, than the actual userpic.
Nothing in my username says "Portal" or titles me as my fan character.
It's just that they think I'm the person in my userpic. Not my name.

Heck, Before I changed my username (it was originally Espioboid) Everyone called me Espio. So I got sick of it and when I got core, I changed it.

I would never dub them as stupid for not refering to me as my known identity here.
I just find it mildly annoying... or even insulting they wish to see me as such. Not trying to be rude to those who ever saw me as my FC, but it is just what I want.
