i like it. the translation at any rate. captures the subject well, as noted. i like the vocabulary of it too. i tend to like english by articulate foreigners more than english by mundane americaners sometimes.

gefällt mir ungeleich besser als das andere deutschsprachige gedicht. nur ich hätt die thematik glaubich eher nich in form eines doch recht klassischen gedichtes behandelt sondern wärs was freier umgegangen weil ich der ansicht bin dass sich so emotionen besser darstellen lassen

I don't really know any German...
But the translation was a big help though.
And i know how you feel.
people who write with their second language tend to have difficulty being as expressive as they'd like.
And it's also a shame that you can't carry over the cadence and feel of the original over to the translated version.
But still,
i can feel the passion in the words.
it's a very impressive piece.
And the figurative language is beautiful.
