You have lost me I am afraid. It is a long exposure taken during the night (on this occasion a full moon) and the lines were made using LED lights. It is 100% a light painting, with no tampering involved.

I thin kthe exposure was a few minutes long, and the water just naturally reflected the lights I used to make the Orb

Yes, you really have to plan what you are going to do, nail the exposure and a bit of good luck helps too...
