my entry for ~cheez-llama 's contest.
i forgot one of the cat's toes. ;A;
the fifth one thats on the inside of the foot. i even told myself to remember it before i started. OTL
i had already half-sketched this before i found a piano tune i liked and i went from there. i kept going with the semi-realistic, semi-stylized look.
i love this song so much!
it's amazing! if you have a Youtube account you should subscribe to this guy!overall i love the cat, but i really dislike the bg. it just doesn't look like its from the same artwork as the cat. and the compositions off.
he's not a new character. i just wanted to experiment with colors.
he was based on an American short hair, but only the fur really resembles it.
i need to buy SAI! Photoshop El is great, but there are certain affects that i can't make with it.
Time: 2 and a half hours. half an hour to sketch.
Program: Photoshop Elements 8.
