It's part of the "tour du lac" du Bourget after La Chapelle.

This road is very popular with cyclists for the tour du lac. There are a few restaurants on the way and you can visit the Abbey de Hautecombe on the northwest side.
Once near Lucerne my GPS sent me to a camping site where my van could hardly pass and then the camp site didn't even exist so I had to find a place to turn around and go back. Fortunately we didn't meet anyone in front of us.
