Oh my word. I've seen some pencil drawings but this is easily one of the best yet. There's a whole spectrum of shading going on here between white and black, and you don't see that often. The stubble really is the crowning touch, it was worth all the effort!

Aww what a lovely old man. I can notice in his eyes some sort of sadness or a memory of his hard life. I think you capture all that and when someone is drawing/painting portrait it's not important to capture only his features on the face, but the character also. You my friend were capture his character and that is what makes you a good (not good, but excellent) artist. BRAVO to youΒ Β

Excellent. I love all the wrinkles and tiny hairs, and the slight blurring of his neck and shoulders to keep the focus on the face. Gorgeous eyes.
