Description
Finished commission for Arokh3 on Furaffinity.A monster which found a lonely camper in front of a dark forest- Bad luck for the camper, because the monster love to eat the souls of humans.
Edit: I improved the trees in the foreground a little bit.

I think it's possible to kill it- but you would need to have some good weapons and the caught souls would probably protect it from any harm as well

I figured out that using gradients for the color is a great help- this way you can already set the mood of a picture in the beginning

This looks like something right off the cover of a horror/sci-fi novel.
The creature is amazingly well done - very scary with that hunched stance and gaping maw. I love the way you've made the camp fire so bright - lighting up the tent, creature, and victim, and backlighting the trees in the foreground. It gives a sense of warmth to an otherwise cold scene - a very eerie combination. It's one case where one might prefer the dark than seeing that thing close up!

I'm really glad that I managed to get the brightness and the darkness right- it's always difficult not to get too dark or too bright.
Hehe, yeah, the fire gives it a warm touch- I thought of using more blueish colors at first, but I decided not to do that.
