This is a screenshot of another game I'm working on about pastry.

You get to manage a bakery and make cakes/cookies/muffins/whatever depending on the tastes of the customers. It has a complex taste engine that allows a character to look for specific ingredients/conditions before purchasing a product. Also each food item keeps a complete list of its ingredients and various states (spicy, cold, tastes like garbage...).

The white bubbles you see are randomized "recipes" that have some of the components I've implemented so far. (Note : the pink face means a food is cute, the mouse/cat face means the food is animal-shaped !) (so yes, some customers will prefer cakes shaped like animals.)

Also on the picture are some of the windowskins I made with some of them looking dangerously chocolatey. I'm rather proud of my winskin system, though it gets very slow with big windows. Oh well.

Oh, and the little characters waddle around and speak gibberish in an Animal-Crossing fashion.

This game is going to be adorable as fuck

Et est-ce qu'il y'a des "nasty faces" si la nourriture que l'on préapre n'est pas comestible?

Eh ben, oui.
Mais pas sur les persos (ce serait trop long de tous les animer), dans des petits smileys au dessus de leur tête !
Et puis la comestibilité sera subjective; par exemple, des clients zombies n'auront aucun problème à manger de la nourriture pourrie.

Génial! Par contre si la clientèle zombie rapplique en masse, l'inspection de l'hygiène va commencer à pointer son nez.
