Ahh, it brings me back to the days of sitting in biology, learning about DNA. That darn double helix.
It's a very good shot- the eye follows the stairs upwards, into the spiral. The shape of the building it's on is starkly contrasted to the very vibrant blue of the sky.
The only changes i would make would be to edit out that bird on the left side, and maybe even the one sitting on top of the building. They read as a distracting black smudge or something that draws away from the focus of the image- the spiraling stairs and it's shadow.
I would maybe even have taken a step or two back when taking the picture, or zoomed out. The edge of the rail at the top is right up against the border of the image, and might look better with a bit more sky visible.

due to where i was i couldnt make the adjustment.
As for the birds, i left the in as a sense of location, bit i did think of doingthat before

Well, there's always photoshopping the image in post production.
Huh, that reminds me, i wonder what it might look like with a white border. Hm. o.o
