Description
In case anyone was curious !Some added notes I didn't want to hand write:
1. I usually do sketches layer by layer, if that makes sense??
I tend to have a base sketch, then on another I add clothes/any other accessories, and on another I add hair. I dont want any extra stuff to distract me from the anatomy
2. I literally just slap colors down for this, though I usually flat color it with one color first to avoid any holes in the colors
2a. I don't always add shading like this, but it usually helps me if the lighting is more complicated or if I'm trying to get certain color values.
I like to add shading specific to the color I'm shading, i.e. if you were using the multiply layer to shade, dont just use light purple to shade all of it; red should be shaded with darker reds/purples, Eryu's face looks best shaded with a light teal color, etc..
I think it adds a little life to the shading :^) I don't usually add highlights and such here unless theres dramatic lighting or something tbh
3. Here I just merge everything (including the background layer) and go for it. I usually pick a starting point and work my way down, so I can keep track of what I have and haven't worked. (I usually go eyes => rest of face => hair => shoulders, etc.. )
