It's been a long time since I uploaded something... just been either too busy with commercial work or generally unmotivated during the down times in between.Anyway I put this together over the weekend... it is based on some interesting trees I saw last month in Okinawa.
It is good to model an almost entirely organic scene rather than the usual mostly architecture scenes, a good challenge and break from the usual mindset.
Everything is modeled entirely in 3D, very minimal texturing, and just a bit of render pass layering/mood effect post production.

Wow! Amazing. Looks to me like this would have been a lot of effort in every possible way. Was there an easy way to do all those flowers on the ground, or did you hand place them all?

The trees were what took the most work because of their very complicated shapes with different parts twisting around and connecting to each other
There is an easy way to do the ground flowers which I used. I would not survive hand placing them.
