Allmost added spidermonkey there just to troll xDCommission for the ever so sweet
She was kind enough to commission me to help me save up for a Nintendo 3ds. And since no one hardly commissions me I really wanted to make it worth her while c: So I really went all out on this one. She asked me to draw her Character Toby the Blitzle (heavily stylized here xD) and *Cute-Saki 's Emolga Amara.
So first of all I didn't use any reference for Toby which I am very proud of. I'm really going to make myself not use references for every drawing anymore since I learn so much more from doing it without. Amara was actually quite challenging but I hope I pulled it of to make make it look like an Emolga. And then the background. I don't think I ever put more effort into one than this one, let's just leave it at that
But it was a great challenge and quite nice to work on with classical music to help me along the hours 
So yes I really hope you'll like it Pepper and that you think it was worth it <3

AWWWWWW this is sooo dang cute!! Blitzle and Emolgas fit soo well together, and these characters look soo happy. Stunning background too, I wish I had a lake like that in my backyard..... XD

I'd say you really did go all out on this one and it really shows. The characters poses are adorable and that landscape is gorgeous. I really adore how detailed it is and the lake looks so lovely in combination with the light shinning through. So did you end up getting a 3DS? I still haven't gotten one and I know I really need to upgrade in the next few years.

I'm so glad to hear that c: I really did spent such a long time on this one.
But it was defenitely worth all the effort and it also gave me some confidence I actually could draw mountains.

And no I didn't. At the time I also suddenly heard that I needed to pay for a website for university which was 150 euros so I lost the money that I did have to that... But I finally have a part time job again so luckily I'm making money now so maybe I'll buy one when the price starts to drop. Especially since I saw that there are only 69 new pokemon in X and Y and I really find that to be a huge let down.

Yeah, that's about all I have to say. This is just too amazing for words! First off, no reff for THAT angle? e.o I can't even...
And the expressions are so cute! I just love the characters as it is, they are so cute here together!

I just love the water below, and the light coming through the scattered clouds is perfect! The crass all looks so soft, and the rocks so real. Those hills are amzing and the 3D look to this is amazing. I could sit here and stare at this picture forever!

But seriously- you outdid yourself with this. The whole background is- lksdfjksdjf. That's very likely of you- even for characters as little as these two, you add bigger and more astounding backgrounds. It connects really good with them. And look at that sky- breathtaking. May I ask how in hell do you get those clouds?

But seriously thank you girl <33 Well I've made myself some cloudy brushes and I pretty much just play around with those xD I also delete the around the clouds with another cloud brush as well to give them nicer edges and shapes. Hmm maybe I'll do a tutorial one day on clouds c:

Wow, this is truly stunning. Pepper showed this to me and I was immediately blown away by the beautiful background! All those little details, from the little particles in those beams of light to the ripples and the reflection on the water. And Toby looks simply splendid. Haha, Amara surely does look like an Emolga and a cute one on top of that!
A fantastic piece of work, kudos.
You surely made Pepper (and me who was utterly surprised by this) happy!
