Well, it's more of a venn diagram.

There are actors like Brian Blessed and John Rhys-Davies, who play Big Guys With Hearts of Gold Who Bellow and Hit Things. That overlaps the Oliver Reed/Ian Holm/Leo McKern group, who are all Somewhat Disagreeable Guys With Hearts of Gold Who Sometimes Bellow and Hit Things. That's a much larger group which barely overlaps the Disagreeable Guys set.
