Description Lycan, male Granite corn. One of the markers of a Granite is that skull or "scream" pattern on their heads. I also really love the "circles going up his back. Lycan is still a baby, about the width of a pencil...the maple leave he is resting on kind of gives you an idea at how little he is. Plus those big eyes of his! He'll grow into them and they will become more proportioned with the rest of his head as he matures.

I love how the diffused gene fades them out...like with the Bloodreds. Going to be interesting to see how he turns out as he matures.

Awwwwww~~~ How adorable! I love his big eyes X3 soo cute!

How do you find out what morph your snake is? I got a cornsnake from a friend (lol "Do you want a snake?" Me: "Well yes, I love snakes" her: "here, my son doesn't want his anymore" Me: "EEEEEE") and I don't know if she's anery, charcoal, granite.... x.x;

Well it depends. With the Granite the only way to really know for sure it's a Granite is by it's blood line. If you buy the snake from a breeder they should know exactly what line the snake is from. B/c the granite can look just like a Pewter (aka diffused Charcoal) and vice versa. Charcoal is a type of Anery and Granite is a diffused Anery so that is why the Pewter and the Granite can look the same. That's why it's important with some morphs to know what the parents are. However if the snake is just a pet it really doesn't make a difference. Only if you want to breed it should you know what you have so when you have babies you can tell potential buyers what they are.
But some of the Anery corns you can tell what they are. Do you have any pics of it? I should be able to help you if you do. At least be able to narrow it down for you more.

Oooh okay. I don't mind so much, but some people ask what morph she is and I don't know. XD; I got her from a friend who's son got a snake but the novelty wore off and since I was always wearing snake shirts (when I wasn't working at least) and had a ball python, she offered her to me. (Carmi's my little Christmas present, I got her the Monday before Christmas last year. X3)

I should get some better pictures. All I have right now is this: [link]

Awe she's so cute! And tiny still! Wow they gave her up as a baby! That's so sad. But glad she is with someone that appreciates her now. Going by that pic she looks like a normal Anery. The Granites, Charcoals, and other Anery based morphs usually aren't as bold in their pattern, even as babies. Especially on their sides. She is definitely beautiful though. I love the absence of the reds and oranges in the Anerys.

I know, I felt kinda sad for her because she's so small and they had to keep her in the shed because of the ophidiophobic parents. Now she's inside and she likes to watch me and move around. x3 I need to give her a bigger habitat, if it just didn't cost so much. I also wanna give her a more secure cage too. (Her previous owners just kept boots on top, I ended up getting latches to force the lid down so she doesn't escape.) She's a lot more active than my ball python, so grading up her habitat has more priority. XD;

Ah, anery! It's nice to know! Thanks! X3

OMG that's horrible how they kept her! Poor little thing. You know I understand the fear some have of them bu keeping a little baby like that out in the shed is just cruel.
Corns are naturally more active then boas/pythons b/c corns are active hunters...they go looking for their prey. A lot of boas/pythons adopt the sit and wait technique so that is why they usually aren't as active.
I am assuming you have her in a tank? What size? Tanks are fairly cheap so I wouldn't worry about you having to spend a fortune for a larger one. If you also want a cheap hide use the card board roll from paper towels and empty tissue boxes. I have used both many times in the past and my snakes love them.
And if you want something secure for the top...a heavy rock on each end should be fine. Those clips never work and I don't trust them. So the few snakes that I keep in tanks, instead of in my snake rack, have two rocks on the top of their screen lids. A heavy book, like a dictionary, centered in the middle works find too. Just make sure that there is still enough screen exposed so the snake can breath!

It's smaller than Gucci's. Not sure the gallonage, but it's like, ten inches deep, two feet long, one foot high. I'd like to get a large tank/habitat so she can move around in three dimensions. I put a fake vine twisted up in her current one so she had more to move around on. (And I saw a cornsnake in the wild that enjoyed basking in a pile of branches, so I figured she might like it. X3)

I really want a locking lid. I went to Gucci's vet's reptile habitat 'seminar', and he had a picture of a ball python who had pushed free of a tank that just had rocks on top and had horrible scraps along its back from the escape attempt. (I like Gucci's cage, it slides and locks. If I can only get another cage just like her's that'll be fine too. I don't trust the clamps either. I actually wake up at night when Carmi pushes on the screen top and go down to check.) So I'm mondo paranoid that my scaley babies will try to run away and hurt themselves in the process. XD;

Ooo, tissue boxes! Never heard that one. o.o I got a container from my work place (Dollar Tree XD; ) and cut a whole in it so my hidey ball python can feel like no one can find her. But the lid comes off if I need to get to her. XD Carmi enjoys hiding under the feeding dish (an old water dish that was shallow, but it's hollow bottom makes her feel happy so I keep it in there to put her meals on. X3)
