Louis Blériot started the Blériot production after crossing the English channel by flying a self built aircraft the first model of his aircraft.A Blériot was also the first plane to cross the north sea, but this never made the headlines, even tho the north sea is more dangerous stretch to fly. It never made the headlines due to the fact that the same day as the flight took place WW1 broke out.
