Oh lawd, here we go! A million critical Redditors commenting in 3...2...1...
I MISSPELLED DISCENTIA NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo will repair it tonight. Repaired, hopefully. Assuming I understand DA's new uploading/editing thingies...
Did this take forever to finish, or what?
Gotta call it 'finished' at some point. This comic suffered SO. MUCH. PROCRASTINATING. You know, in the form of 'life'. Pesky life.
As per usual, I've attempted to rid this of bugs and probably failed. Bah.
Some things to keep in mind:
- If you don't know what Reddit is (where have you been?), the next few comics may be a little confusing.
- If you do know what Reddit is, you'll probably want to argue about everything you see in these comics. We are quite opinionated, us Redditors... I hope not to wind you up too much though
- There are precious few reference materials for Karma and Discentia. Most show Karma having bright red hair... I've made it more orangey, to match the 'upvote' she represents.
- I have no idea who designed Karma and Descentia originally... hope s/he won't mind their appearance in My Little Websurfers! It was !! Thanks to those who filled me in

It's better to think of her as actually quite intelligent, but there's no filter on what she says or does. There hasn't been a point in the comic yet with which to illustrate this but yeah, she's not necessarily 'stupid' or anything.
I actually tried the latest IE the other day (Chrome was messing up on the work machine) - it was actually (dare I say it..) really pleasant to use!

It's no problem to not know about Reddit - I hope to explain what Reddit is in subsequent comics (by way of the characters exploring, etc, as they are obviously going to want to do now that they're there) - for now it's OK if it's "just another website"; after all, that's it is to the websurfers themselves.

Bahaha! Hadn't though of RES. But that is a great idea. Actually that's a good way to introduce the concept of "extensions" in general, which was on my list...
I might have to take some liberties with what RES can do IRL for the sake of moving things along easier. I don't know, still mulling over the later comics. Wouldn't really want to go into details right now

Fair enough! I'm not really sure how you could show them... they're mostly plugins, with some cosmetic or superficial changes, which would be hard to show on the 'flesh and blood' characters you have. Currently, it'd be difficult to explain why Chromia and Kindle would have access to the most addons... maybe the other characters have allergies or something? (I greatly look forward to dear Ivy attempting to install add-ons. So much rage and hilarity.)
That's assuming that you don't want to change their current physical designs. If you didn't mind that, changes could easily be highlighted with accessories or changes in eye color or clothing.
I dunno, just a thought. Thanks again for the update!

I know how I want extensions and plugins to 'work' (how they are represented, how the characters can use them), it was more an issue of how I would introduce the concept without one of them just suddenly activating an extension and then having to force them to discuss it so the reader knows wtf is happening, haha.
RES would be a great excuse to make extensions the subject of conversation. The only thing I can think might be a problem is Ivy wouldn't be able to use it (no RES for IE). I'd either have to take liberties for the sake of the story or tackle the problems RES would solve in the next few comics another way!
