they will do that sometimes....I met a man last week while making impressions and attempted to explain the power of the camera is not only found in its ability to capture detail, but will show us the essence if we just look for it.

it happens to me too, even with non photographers. that side-eye
i imagine even more with "real" photographers. i anticipate it, when i'm with a professional, and call myself an "artist" which i find more rewarding anyway (closer to my heart)
