That's an amazing job, dude. I love the colors, the drawing, and mainly the shining in the art. I think you should do a tutorial, cause your style is unique. Congratulations.

As many Brazilians like me already said, it's not an image you'll probably see any day in brazil...
But that doesn't mean it's a bad image. It's still very enthousiastic and shining...
I kinda disagree about the women, but for the rest, they all seem to have the time of their life ^^
Not bad, and would've been awesome if under another name... but I understand if you wouldn't change that.

You know Douglp, I think you are one of the first person to describe what I was trying to do so well.
Brazil, like any other country and culture is too big, too deep, too complex and rich to describe in one image.
This, as you say, is just a piece that reflects a small perception of a country I have never visited.
Thank you for understanding that

So, this is what marks our country, isn't it?
Happy naked people. Oh no way, naked girls.
It is really sad.

Oh well, our people do try to make carnival (ew!) the brazilian mark. I think I can't really jugde other countries for believing this is all we are.

I know what you mean.
I' m French and I live in the states, and I'm always ALWAYS asked "don't you miss Paris"..when I never lived in Paris. I visited a few times, but didn't care much for it.
People tend to be a little shocked when I say that... as if Paris was the ONLY place in Paris...they also tend to be surprised when they learn that we listen to so much american music that you can turn on any radio station in France and hear lady Gaga or Coldplay or whatever other pop music is the flavor of the moment.
And for a long time, I thought EVERYBODY in the US lived either in New York, California or Texas.. I didn't think there were other places or that "Americans" ( Note..I'm saying Americans ..and not people from the United States because, for Europeans, America means the US...I use to make that mistake until I had a girlfriend from Chile who made me realize that I was totally nixing South America!)...eat other stuff than Hamburgers!
Funny , no?

Like me, I've never even BEEN to Rio de Janeiro or the Amazon Forest. We're a pretty big country, you know.
And, personally, I don't ever want to go to Rio. It's probably one of the most dangerous cities in the country. It's where all drug and gun traffics concentrates in. Tourists should probably know that. And SΓ£o Paulo, I've been there once. Not a nice place too.

Also I am Brazilian and here there is no naked women at carnival, the more women lifting his shirt to win a necklace of plastic ... That's North American ... Or rather the E.U.A, Canada since neither stoop to so much Β¬ Β¬

Hi everybody.
I'm just seeing this Daily Deviation notification.
I'm still not all that used to Deviantart actually, but I like it a lot.
Please, excuse me if I don't get back to all the comments imediately.
Thank you for all the nice words said about this image. I really appreciate it.
For those of you who are Brazilian... I understand what you mean and feel about the stereotyping.
I say I understand because I grew up in the south of France, and I now live in the states.
A lot of the people who talk to me about France mention Paris..the eiffel tower, bread, cheese, and berets.
I didn't grow up in Paris..it was a strange and foreign city to me, I like Cheese and wine but will not go out of my way to have either, and i don't wear a beret, or a mustache, or a striped tshirt for that matter.
Most people that meet me are surprised that I don't look more French.
They are also surprised when I tell them that my childhood was, esentially, not very different than what kids in the states go through.
Still... If I were to draw France, I'll probably use most of these stereotypes, because I drew about what my friends and I did when we were growing up, people would probably assume it is taking place in the country where they are at the moment.
I would love to have a better knowledge of Brazil, and an insane amount of talent to make people see the little known parts of Brazil, but I don't.
I hope this makes sense
