Description
ImageWorking it's way through the carved rock and falling tens of feet every second it's no wonder gorges can be such stunning places to visit, let alone photograph. Near the Bulgarian/Greek border lies a towering valley full of crevasses and caves in which wildlife is abundant and plants flourish and also one precarious road which to our standards is a death trap but exciting all the same. After visiting the 'Devils Throat' cave a walk takes you over the top of the falls. The shot is mearly capturing the textures and pastel colours which make the area so captivating.
Location
Trigrad Gorge, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria

Now that was a surprise. Stop by Vitosha mountain's stone rivers sometime, too!
