Description: The oryxes are one of the antelopes that looked like and closely related to roan and addax antelopes. Their fur was pale, and their stripes are much like a gazelle, and their horns are much straight up. The horns reminds you of the desert unicorn. 3 species of Oryx are native to Africa, while one was native in the Middle East. Like camels, hyenas, and other desert-living animals, oryxes can be more adaptable in surviving in the desert habitat without water for a long period. The herds of oryxes are consisted with males and females, and their calves. Both males and females possessed horns that are lethal, so an oryx can kill a lion, and are sometimes called, Saber Antelopes, or Saber-horned antelopes, but it might be more confused in the name of its close relative, the sable antelope(Hippotragus niger). Have you never notice the oryx got mentioned in the Bible?
