Here's the project I had been working on, for the better part of 2 months...took so long due to new jobs, artist's block, a WoW 10 day trial, and other things of that nature. But it's finally finished!This was requested by a friend of mine, who commissioned me to do several pictures, this one being the major one, and I am eternally grateful for his patience. Obviously a play on the "Evolution of Man", Link has progressed throughout the years and I tried to capture the look of each game to the best of my ability.

I love this piece, my daughters boyf4riend received a framed print of this yesterday for his Birthday and when I was told it had been done by a deviantART member I had to find the person who created it. Amazing work. My kids have all grown up with Zelda and I have watched Link "grow-up" as well. Fantastic piece.

This covers the main games pretty well, but I think you gotta include kid link in the third spot.
I think twilight princess had the best look. There is a lot I like about skyward sword for controlling link and clarity of graphics, but it went too cartoony I think. Feel like I am running link around in Mario Sunshine.

Time permitting, I would have loved to include kid link from oot/mm, as well as others, but I had to make do. And to each their own! I loved Skyward Sword.

Don't get me wrong. Skyward Sword is awesome, I just think that the art/color style in the game isn't as good as the look of Twilight Princess.

I love how they addressed that in Skyward Sword - even though it's something any Zelda fan could assume, it's interesting to see Nintendo explicitly address that notion while still weaving a good story around it. I'd love to do a Demise piece one of these days.
