Beck is from a beach town in California, though she’s not the laid-back, free-spirited surfer girl she once was, due to a fatal accident involving her childhood best friend. She didn’t take the loss well, and became withdrawn because of it. However, she found a way to express herself through dance, so when the time came she left her hometown to attend a dance school in San Francisco.

Her time at school was healing—or at least distracting, and helped Beck come out of her shell more. For this reason, the idea of going home during breaks became less and less appealing, especially this year, when her parents decided to get a divorce.

Desperate to go anywhere but home for the summer, Beck applied to a couple of different places. She was hoping to get the job at a winery, because it was the closest to San Francisco and paid well for the work required, but she heard back from the folks over at Camp Sunshine first, so the decision was made.

Extra:
Beck hopes to have a career as a dancer someday, so she has herself on a strict diet and doesn’t smoke.
Yoga is usually part of her daily routine.
