Description
McDonnell Douglas Phase B space station design from the 1960s. With six decks and a crew of twelve, it would have rotated end-over-end to give 1/6 g in the main cylinder and 1/3 g in the pointy bit.
I found quite a bit of reference online. I guess the real thing if built would have looked a lot busier, particularly the docking mechanism, the comms dishes and the telescopic “spoke”. But I like the toylike simplicity of the station as depicted in the concept paintings so I’ve stuck with that.

Tinker Toy like but looks very simple, practical. With nuclear power no need for awkward solar arrays. Could be a way station, too.
