an illustration for my short story. Ella catching Lyfe after "dying." Ella was the shinigami (lack of a better tem. LOL) assigned to take Lyfe's soul.

"I fell in a spiral, non-stop. I saw a a girl against the grey light I used to call home. Her arms were wrapped in fabric that danced along with the wind. Her threadlike hair spread out forming a triangular shape, and from her ears sprouted colorful plumage. She wore a neck piece that had intricate bead work. Her torso was embellished with the most precious gems and her arms were draped with the richest fabric. I stared at her for a while. Her face remained like a statue, expressionless. she reached out her hand to me. I wasn’t sure if I had any other options but to take it."
