This is just beautiful!
I love how you made the hair and eyes, well I like the whole
picture, but the hair and eyes stand out alot.
Keep up the great work!

This was the first portrait I did with some sort of "style", haha. First I used mineral charcoal bars to get a uniform color in the hair. Then, very carefully, I used a common eraser, (staedler if you can get one) and with the sharp edges I made the highlights of the hair. Then the shadows very carefully again with Rembrandt charcoal pencils and Contè too. You can scrub it gently with some foam or a smudge stick, they're pretty useful. After all I used white charcoal on the highlights to make them a little more visible.

Ah, you use alot of Charcoal. I've been using graphite pencils mainly. But I've had some experiance with Charcoal. Thanks for the info.

Great shading, a really good work, the only thing I see is that maybe its a little "cold" I mean technically its an amazing work, but theres something kind of cold in her face....

You've got some really nice work in your gallery, but this one... this one moved me. There's a certain softness about it. The quality of the light combined with her expression lend an air of mystery, a sense that there's great innocence here, but it's not naivetΓ©; there's more behind those eyes than most would notice at first glance.
Well done! Good handling of the medium, and especially kudos on your treatment of the hair. You've taken just the right liberties with the likeness from the photo to make it your own.

Hey, no problem. I know that I personally like comments that have more to say than just a generic "good job," or "beautiful," or whatever.

Wonderful work!
I noticed who this was straight away! The resembelence is truly striking.
I have hardly any criticisms for this piece of work, because it's so realistic.
All I'd mention is, to use more of a contrast on her eyes, to make them stand out a little more like in the photo.
Amazing work!
