Ugh, don't get me started on Mpreg.I think John cleese said it best: "Where's the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?"
Stock photos ftw. Image found on Stock.xchng.

Mpreg...it makes me shamed to be a yaoi fan sometimes...
...unless it's so completely mind-blowingly epic that I almost forget the fact a man is giving birth...ALMOST forget.

I like gender-bending if it's full cast. To me it just seems that when people bend half the cast (especially if almost the whole cast is one gender) they're almost...trying to avoide yaoi/yuri or going out of their way to MAKE it yaoi/yuri. Like I said, though, I like full cast gender-bending, it can be quite fun~

As I read through the comments, I was reminded of one thing. That Mpreg is fiction. Then I was relieved.
That doesn't make the idea of Mpreg any less stupid though. F A C T not opinion. And in some kind of fictiony-logical sense....Mpreg makes none. A male got pregnant? WHAT? He gave birth? HOW?
Even fictional worlds have fictional answers that make sense in that fictional world. Like if women were ones who got the men pregnant because that was the nature of the world. Or if everyone was a hermaphrodite. Fanfiction takes place in the world of the original creator of said characters, typically, so why and how in blue blazes would a male (the fertilizer), get pregnant, sustain the life of the fetus and give birth out of one of his lower orifices, without the baby being dead or the man himself dying?
You all who support this, you create your own fictional worlds and laws. If you can't explain how something like that happens, then it defaults to our world pseudo-logic. Hence the backlash to Mpreg.

everyone has their own little joys.
saying logic is a fan-girls enemy is kinda stupid, I don't think any fan girl claims M-preg is possible, its just using their imagination, like everyone does with different things.

That's just how it is with m-preg, it's a challenge for the imagination, if you can't see that than your way of thinking is boring and ignorant.

SESSHY-YAY In reply to paxtofettel [2011-05-02 05:15:24 +0000 UTC]
It's not purely because you dislike it, it's your reasons for disliking it and the people you blame for it's existence that makes me insult you. If I was going to insult you just for not liking it that would be unnecessary and immature. Besides, it would go against the fact that some m-preg should never exist; i.e. Dynasty Warrior/Samurai Warriors *shudder**cringe* it never hit the cute mark, just disturbing. You are correct, people are entitled to their opinions, but these opinions should have the proper information behind them so they don't sound like a reason to bash people who like something different.

It's hard to see it as 'funny' when all it seems like people do is complain about how much they dislike it instead of just not looking at. Especially since it's not one of those things that just pops up in a random search, YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR IT! So no, I can't see the humor because I'm tired of all the BULLSHIT that comes with it!

If don't want me to look at it then you should remove it because it pops up every fucking time I search mpreg, and that saying is under the pretenses that the person in which your speaking to hasn't already ignored the concept of the saying.

Here's a little factoid: Mpreg has been around long before the whole yaoi thing came around. Mpreg stems from men themselves!
It all stems from what is called 'Gravidophilia'. This is the the attraction towards (or arousal from) being pregnant oneself, as opposed to 'Maieusiophilia' the attraction (or arousal from) another's pregnancy. Both women (such as myself) and men have this. This is where mpreg comes from, from a man's fantasy of being pregnant.
P.S. Though I may sound hypocritical, mpreg freaks me out a little too!

You know, I've looked at a picture like that before. I didn't see the "MPREG" at the beginning xD. Like seriously, I stared at it before clicking on it, and didn't see the beginning of the title. Never unseeing that. EVER. It's even worse for me because, well, I have a pregnancy and childbirth phobia. Not to mention, it was one of my favorite characters of all time. WHY. Uuugh. It makes me shiver just thinking about that picture.
