Summer's here! Hooray! I'll be headed outside shortly to set off some illicit pyrotechnicsLooks like the Luau is going to be a little delayed due to technical difficulties. Just goes to show that however good a ninja you are it doesn't mean you're any good at not getting your hula outfit caught up in your giant ponytail. Luckily Miyuki is here to help, but so far her "untie it all and sure you'll be naked but it should untangle itself" approach has only proven halfway correct.
I hope they get it sorted out before the guests arrive, but if not I suspect it was always going to be that kind of luau anyway.

Well they are inside somewhere, rather than out in public. And Miyuki being naked for calligraphy-on-a-girl practice is clearly intentional, rather than a Luau-related accident. (And for all that, she's still trying to cover up.)
Generally her attitude toward public nudity is a little inconsistent (my fault, it's based on what I want to draw at any given time) but I figure in part she does it for the thrill, which she wouldn't get without an element of danger, that is, if she wasn't at least a little bit embarrassed at the possibility of being seen naked. Only a little, though, or she wouldn't keep doing it on purpose.

To be honest I am glad you did leave it off...I mean first how do you make something sexy when it is already sexy....and second we get Hula skirts a plenty anyway every summer.....The same reason I am not voting for Ninja or Devil....I was tempted to go Brit Spy but realized you mean Catsuit Emma peel and not a sexy version of Austin powers
To me its a toss up between Gunslinger, Pirate (who I think you did do one piece if memory serves me correct) or French Maid (which is ironically an upcoming Jam by a guy I watch lol)
As to the aerodynamic qualities of you are wrong...it all depends on the material used for threading...Artificial leis fly like crazy.....never really tried it with real ones but the only major difference I can see is the necklace part and what you use

I was actually planning on a go go dress incorporating the Union Jack somehow - it's a Halloween costume, it doesn't have to make sense.
I've done both pirate and cowgirl versions of Miyuki before; which costume she'll have and which one Alli will have is really going to depend how I feel about the two winners when the weekend rolls around (I've been wanting to draw someone dressed as a sexy French maid for a while now). Then we have to see what kind of trouble they'll get in (and if it intersects with the gothy nude mummy summoning).
Leis, sure, but I don't think the skirt would fly all that well - or rather I don't think it would fly in a way that you could get it to land right on a cassowary.

The summoning's happening at a sinister obelisk that is somewhere near the Egyptology Museum (in this year's Halloween pinup), although they might just want to interview the mummy for a submarine captain's position, you never know.
Looks like it's maid and spy, I'll go with whatever's in tomorrow morning.
My suspicion is that an emu/cassowary would probably eat most anything it could fit down it's beak; not sure about emus, but cassowaries are plant and fruit eaters, so a lei or a grass skirt would probably do for dinner.

I think they'd be surprisingly cool with it (or it may not be a surprise, I really don't know what we should expect from the ninja luau.) I think Akiko, on the other hand, would really like to get dressed again, but it doesn't look like it'll be happening soon.

*Nod* Of your female characters, Akiko seems the least comfortable in regards public nudity. Miyuki, Clarissa, and Lyta seem okay with it provided they are in control of the situation. Of course, the viewers are the ones who benefit!
As for a ninja luau, perhaps stealing someone's clothing while they are still wearing it could be both an icebreaker and a demonstration of superior ninjutsu. The longer it takes for the victim to notice they are naked, the greater the thief's skill!
Anyway, I only recently discovered your gallery, but have enjoyed it a lot. Sexy, light-hearted fun! Thank you.

She has the most normal reaction - certainly closer to the reaction you'd expect from a normal young woman. I think Miyuki, Lyta, and Clarissa are more the exception than the rule. There are some times when Akiko has been willing to take it all off, but only when she's alone - [link] [link] or that one time when her judgement was compromised by too many celebratory beverages - [link]
There are probably some spoilsports, even at the ninja luau, but they'll blame Miyuki for this. They know her too well.

I have loads of 'em. If you've been reading the Oracle Sword every one of the characters is an original except for the Mad Baron that Clarissa talks about in chapter 2, who was actually real (and I think the black ops guys mention the president at some point, but not by name). Up to the end of Chapter 3 I count 22 named characters give or take, although many are bit players we probably won't see again.
