Description
I figured it wasn't really fair that Lyta didn't have her own novelty playboy cover, and of course people have asked about it, so here it is. The business about blackmailing Miyuki refers of course to the original instance of all the novelty erotica here:And the original two covers:
Note the Norman Mailer gag continues, even though he's been dead for some time. Maybe it's a retrospective.
Ink drawing colored in Photoshop.
Enjoy,

There's a blank to the right of the picture under "Details" that says "Thumb" - just copy and paste that. Alternately you can type it out as :thumbdeviationnumber: which would be :thumb259541374: in this case.
Note it doesn't work here, only in journals and descriptions as far as I know. Also, you may need to have a premium account, so if you try it, preview first. Wwith a basic account you can always still post links as URLs).

I just tried it. I think you do need a permium account. Which you need money, which I don't got to get it. Thanks any way.

If WWII's American Volunteer Group (aka the "Flying Tigers") could do both, so can we...save for latter-day political correctness. To that end, I'd be willing to bear with an occasional bit of beefcake for our hetero-inclined female air-warriors.
As for BVR? A necessity these days, but missiles have "miss" in the name for a reason. Gimme 20+ mm. of multi-barrel depleted-uranium-death when the chips are down.
Anyway, I appreciate your eye for technical jargon & the female form alike, P-C. That corner logo's especially clever.

Somewhere I have a book I bought at the Boeing museum in Seattle that's basically just a catalog of nose art during the Korean War and it actually talks about trends in nose art based on what pinup girls were popular or songs that were current and all that, and it breaks down nose art by pin up girls, dangerous animals, patriotic symbolism and so on.
Nowadays the nose art is mostly on the inside of weapons bay doors and the like, since the exterior paint is radar absorbant to a degree, so sadly it has to go where it won't show. I like to think that Playfighterpilot is in part read by old guys who keep a Phantom or Super Sabre at their local airstrip for old times' sake.
