Description
So after hearing which design people wanted me to draw Mr. Uppity, I decided to go with this one.

For those unfamilar, Mr. Uppity is a Mr. Man who is one of the richest, but he is also very snobbish. He's actually tricky to deal with, both design and personality wise.

Personality wise, he's basically Mr. Rude 1.0, as he's described as very rude to others and is an old fart. And like with Mr. Grumble, I didn't want him to be another character with the exact personality. Since the definition of uppity means self-boasting and arrogant, I like him to be brash and boastful (something like the big engines from Thomas would act like, and what the Sixth Doctor during his run in Doctor Who).

Design wise, he's also kinda tricky. Unlike Mr. Rush, but like Mr. Nosy from the books, he has sideviews, but were hardly used. So I went back and watch episodes from the 80's and 90's cartoons to see what views he had. His front view was odd, because the Miss Trouble adaption showed him with a round body, but some of the 90's episode depicted him with a square-ish one. I went with the Miss Calamity and Miss Curious approach, that he's a rectangle, but with curved corners. Like with the Mr. Sneeze designs I did, Mr. Uppity's quarter views made him look like he's from another show (in this case, Peppa Pig). I also tilted the hat in the other views. Though I guess makes sense since both franchises are British. I did thought on making the nose flat, but I didn't make too Peppa Pig-ish, so I just left it like it's curve like Mr. Nosy's in the books. There's an alternative look for him, in which he has two monocles (unrealistic? Yeah) for a good reason. Remember Miss Calamity? Well, she has a non-symmetrical hair design and while the designers avoided that by being accurate for all views (except for the side and back views, but you can't really tell, anyway), the animators tend to make mistakes by giving her the same quarter views (watch her segment in Inventions to get my point). This is the same with this guy. He has a monocle, but either the animators or even the Hargreaves themselves tend to place the eyeglass in the wrong eye. So the 90's cartoon gave him two, so the animators decided to give him two of them to avoid trouble.

The only pieces I reused from other characters are Mr. Tickle's legs and the hat. The top hat was in "Circus", but the ribbon is red instead of blue.
