Description
It is finally done! After... who knows how long. I'm getting so damned lazy.As usual... pencil sketch ---> Line art in Macromedia Flash 8 ---> Minor line edits & colour in Photoshop ---> Success!
Not much to say here really. It's my character Peregrin Frisk with his new style; leather flight jacket and goggles. Both based off items I actually own; so awesome!
I've been trying out new shading techniques so let me know if anything seems off, I'm rubbish at shading.

Sweet style. I really like the clothes, they're awesome! It's an interesting and awesome design that isn't used as often as you would think. Also, it's neat to know that I'm not the only person who's character wears goggles.

Why thank you :3 Considering how many foxes are out there it's nice to be at least a little different!
I am ALL ABOUT goggles! I blame this guy for influencing me as a child [link]

Same thing is true for wolves. And goggles can make almost anything look awesome, because only a badass wears goggles.
It's funny, really, because your character's outfit was influenced by Digimon, and mine was influenced by PokΓ©mon. I guess childhood really does have a heavy impact on the rest of your life.

A wolf that wears goggles and was influenced by Pokemon? I'd like to see that ^_^ Sounds like we'd make some sort of oddly Japanese influenced anthro monster fighting team... or something o.O

It's really good to see something new from you, I was starting to think you had disappeared! I love the grin and the goggles, but the left hand looks a tad off to me. Regardless, nice work!

Yeah... I do that sometimes. ^_^
Hmm Frisk's left hand or our left? I would say the hand holding the goggles was probably the most iffy, the curled fingers don't quite line up properly along their tops. As for the outstretched hand... it's one of those perspective problems.
I think sometimes it easier to draw difficult objects (such as hands) at challenging angles because you can exagurate the overall shape and draw attention away from the more basic problems. Needless to say, it doesn't always work!

His left (the outstretched one). I'm no master of perspective, but to me the exaggeration causes it to look as if the metacarpals for his middle, ring, and small fingers are bent. They look significantly detached from the area of the hand where his index finger originates. It is a bit of a stylistic choice and I don't think it is entirely out of place. It just looks a bit too exaggerated.
Conversely, I think his right hand (the one holding the goggles) looks fine.

Damn good lineart. I tried doing my line work in Flash for the longest time but it never seemed to come out right. Illustrator is my main man. I am totally digging the goggles.
Keep up the good work mate!

Well once you have a scanned sketch underneath it's really just a case of tracing over your own work. Drawing using straight lines and then bending them to the right shape does take a while to get used to, I'll say that much. But at least you can always tweak them if needed and you don't have to go carefully erasing parts while avoiding some others if you make a mistake!
But thank you for the support, you are very kind.

Yeah, that's actually why I fell in love with Adobe Illustrator: I can get the smooth lines look with out having to painstakingly bend every line.
Always glad to give encouragement to a fellow artist!
