Description musing on the way
your face tilts upward
when you look into my eyes.
the gentle gaze that stirs a pulse
in the most calloused of hearts.
within your eyes there exists
a torrent of compassion
and a sea of tenderness.
yet all i can think to do
is lose myself within those lips.
parting for me;
the taste that i imbibe
far sweeter than any other sensation,
than any other drop of drink
that may pass across my tongue.

how i miss the warmth of your embrace.

funny how
the things that i desire
with the utmost longing of my soul
can be summarized
within the space contained between
the top of your head -
long, dark hair flowing freely
upon shoulders
stronger than they appear -
and the bottom of your feet -
soles that have trod many miles
with many more that lie ahead.
the being formed in the expanse
blood and bone; heart and soul
the marrow to the flesh.

funny how
the thing that i desire most
is you.

claim me captive
and i will not resist.
burn like fire through my veins
and i will be a willing hostage,
a man in shackles
bound to servitude within those
emerald eyes
as they gaze at me.
if love makes slaves of fools
then count me among the foolish
if you promise to roam freely
through my soul
and take whatever you find
as treasure for the squander;
if you bind me to your side again.

of all the things
this jaded being could ask for,
funny how
the thing that he desires most
is you.

As many have said above me, I see, this is is fantastic. :] I especially like this part of the second-to-last stanza;
"Count me among the foolish
if you promise to roam freely
through my soul
and take whatever you find
as treasure for the squander;
if you bind me to your side again."

This spoke to me, wording things I had yet to decipher, so thank you. :]

Exquisite, from title to finale. You express your sentiments so well.

Ah, you vampires and your absolute suavity... *shakes head admiringly*

Funny how... it isn't really funny at all. :applauds quietly as the sentiment of the poem demands:

"....lips...red and delicious with honey drops that words cannot describe. I am on fire ....and I am willing to burn to the ground tonight. Engulfed in a firestorm of kisses......warm breath that witches use to torment the object of their desire...not for deception...but for enticement.
Send flares of your passion straight to my soul. I will be waiting , eyes wide open...moist and accepting. Kiss me with your blue fire lips....not to burn me...so much as to meld me into your concept of sculpture."

Exquisite, mon ami.

Bravo! So eloquent and heartfelt.

Reminds me of the way my own Beloved has spoken to me. He has often referred to himself as Frankenstein's Monster so perhaps there's a connection with "the most calloused of hearts."
