Description this is what this scene taken a bit to the left looked like in color, either way (in my opinion) the spot can not give you bad photos [link]

directly behind this wooden fence is the superstition mountains where the lost dutchman gold is supposed to be hidden. there are many caves and trails within the mountain and even the most experienced rock climbers have difficulty climbing it. much of the mountain is completely vertical and is where many of the caves are located. the rock is very loose and doesnt take kind to people climbing on it.

i tried doing that but it looked a little off on the color, though it does look like there is a ton of contrast on my monitor, but its a little lighter on others...thanks though!

Nice shot! Oh how I miss Arizona. The ocatillo looks like it's blooming too.

The colors look good to me, but I do see a bluish halo where the mountains meet the sky, probably from post-processing.

i love arizona, despite the 4 months of hell ahead, but yeah, my monitor is terrible so im sure my photos dont look as good to other people than they are to me, its very deceiving haha

StringOfLights In reply to PeterJCoskun [2009-05-30 04:36:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah whenever I edit photos on my parents' computer the colors and contrast get all messed up. It's so annoying and makes me paranoid about my laptop's screen... Have you tried calibrating your monitor?

It's been a while since I melted in the desert, but central Florida isn't much fun right now either. I could handle the heat if only there were a BREEZE. Not a hurricane-force breeze though. lol

PeterJCoskun In reply to StringOfLights [2009-05-30 04:44:13 +0000 UTC]

yeah my monitor just sucks lol. ill probably get myself a new computer set up fairly soon, this ones getting old and slow. but the heat here has been weird lately, 100s one week 80s the next then back to the hundreds, im just glad we dont have humidity like in florida, id kill myself if it were that hot and humid during the summer lol

wonderful location! this is utah or arizona? i haven't seen a seguado(sp? lol) in utah before so I imagine it's not, but the mountain looks like near zion.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PeterJCoskun In reply to michael-dalberti [2009-05-25 05:37:02 +0000 UTC]

these are the superstition mountains in arizona, its one of the more unique mountain formations here, it could easily be called utah if you saw the inside of the mountains with tons of pinncales and red rocks. and it is saguaro

fubecando [2009-05-23 16:35:59 +0000 UTC]

cool place. Something seems a tad off in the coloring though. It seems as though there's an odd greenish yellow tint..?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PeterJCoskun In reply to fubecando [2009-05-23 22:13:31 +0000 UTC]

i bumped up the saturation a bit, but most of that tint could be from the plants...i didnt really notice it, but then again my monitor sucks haha

[link] I played around with it a little bit in PS...Image-Adjustments-Color Balance. I just played with the bottom two sliders in the shadow, midtone, and highlight ranges. Hope its ok
