Description no one asked for it, yet i felt like posting a wire of the finished z. not the cleanest model ever, but i feel i got a good amount of detail for the poly count. obviously just a screengrab of the maya interface, not a render. be careful if you full view, this is pretty large

unfortunately i don't have access to a good rendering program. i'm pretty much stuck with maya's standard renderer which, to put it bluntly, sucks. so i focus on the models and leave the rendering mostly alone

that is ok, but you can't show others what are your abillities, I mean the emploiers or the peoples that not in that area just see something that looks incomlete and think " he isn't so good"...they aren't right... i just gave an suggestion !

ok, i take back all the bad things I said, so how did you make this, blueprints? toys? pictures? all the above? is there such a thing as a student version of maya? and if there is, do you know if at anytime can I change it to a business version?

i did use blueprints and a bunch of reference photos i found online. nothing special about my process. and there is a student version of maya available at [link] . i've never used it, but apparently it's basically the same thing as maya complete, it just uses a different, non-exportable file format. also it says it watermarks the images you create with it. as for upgrading to a commercial version of maya, it costs over a $1000 for complete and $7000 for unlimited.

its a maya model, and if it was mine i wouldn't mind sending it on over. but i created this on commission so i don't actually own the rights to the model
