This is so morbid, yet so poetic.. The photograph itself nicely emphasizes the cross and weeds as a focal point, and the fact that it's black and white adds an overcast mood to it. It's intriguing that a symbol of religion is left abandoned, and joins those in the graves in eventually being forgotten. There's so much that can be interpreted from this. It's an image of mortality and memento mori, but also a symbol of the deviation from religion. The possibilities are plenty, even though it's such a simple photograph.
