350D and 380.000 photos? Haha that's awesome. How often did you change/repair the shutter?

It is amazing but it is still the same . I haven't changed the shutter. But I changed the shutter of my 400D after 110 000 pictures. They are very sturdy !!!
Even today, I use my 350D as a backup camera.

You gotta be (really) kidding me. My 450D has about 30.000 now I think. And I'm not sure for how long it will work. I hope it will work up to 60.000 or so. That would be great
The cost of a new shutter would be 200-300β¬ and that's so much that I can almost buy me a used 50D, and that is what I will probably do then.

It is something you couldn't predict... so just cross your fingers that it will last for many pictures.
Yes... it is so expensive to change a shutter I don't like it but our camera could almost be seen as disposable. But if you are good at repairs, it is not so hard to change it (I have already done it with my 400D with the shutter of another broken 400D a friend gave me). It is almost 8h of work.

Yes, but you must know that many birds are opportunists and it is their way to find food

Haha, I guess there are some cameras that shouldn't be kept in a cage.

I like this because you don't usually see this view of a night heron. Very nice.
