Description
Continuing with my non existent, completely theoretical Batman cartoon, we move onto Scarecrow and Mr. Zsasz.Scarecrow in this series would still be inherently the same, but a bit more high tech. No longer wearing a burlap sack over his head, his new mask would be a custom built helmet that sprayed fear toxin through small holes in the front, along with a special audio mic, that gives his voice an otherworldly echo. Clawed gloves would ad an extra element of theatricality to him, and in a pinch would be used as defensive weapons. Last but not least, Scarecrow would command a murder of crows to do his wicked bidding.
Brief Bio: As a child, Jonathan Crane lived on a farm with his abusive father. As a teenager, Jonathan attempted to kill his father in his sleep with a knife. What he did not know was that his father had developed a heart condition. His father was so frightened seeing his son with a knife, that he had a heart attack. It was then that Jonathan Crane discovered the power of fear. Becoming a respected professor of psychology, Crane's studies of fear eventually became obsession, and he was forced to flee Gotham City after it was discovered that he had been torturing people. Three years later he returned to wreak havoc as The Scarecrow.
As this would be Mr. Zsasz's first time in animation I didn't want to change him too much, but I had to do something. So, I spiced up his background with some military experience, that way he could be a deadlier foe for Batman, not only physically, but strategically.
Brief Bio: Victor Zsasz returned home from military service to find his parents had died in a plane crash, and his wife had left him for another man. Victor tried to turn his luck around by playing poker at The Iceberg Lounge. Eventually he found himself playing with Oswald Cobblepot and four other people. Zsasz at first appeared to be winning, but failed to realize that Cobblepot had been supplied with a rigged deck by henchman, Jack. Having been cheated, Zsasz was thrown out into the cold by Jack, who mockingly handed him a switch blade and said "Go out there and be somebody". Zsasz took those words to heart.
