well i used a curve and modeled it to make it like a cylindric sphere, then I copied and mirrored it and added a bevel to those.
Same for the guardrails. For the steps I modeled them using spheres and cylinders.

wow this I think there is a tool in blender to do this kind of shape,
I forgot his name but is screw tool i think.
