Nathan was the first one to raise his hand. Hisoka looked at him, " Yes, Nathan?"

" May I visit the infirmary?"

" May I request a reason?"

Nathan scoffed and picked up his pencil, jabbing his hand. He didn't have a single look of pain as he held his hand up, pencil still in it, " Blood loss and lead poisoning."

Hisoka growled, angered that someone would try to skip class on the first day. He sighed, and complied, " Go." This was replied to with Nathan trudging out of class and down the hall to the infirmary.

Nathan pushed open the door to see only one of the blue sheets shut around a bed. He walked to the nurse, " Miss..." He studied the namecard on her desk, " Ms. Elizabeth, my hand is injured." The nurse looked horrified at the pencil stabbed through his hand and stood, shoving him to a bed and forcing him down. She inspected his hand and gently pulled the pencil out. She walked to her desk and pulled out various medical products, walking back to his bed and spraying the wound with alcohol, spreading something that said " 49HE00-BULLETWOUND" on the small hole. She bandaged it tightly and sealed it with duct tape. She then sighed, " You're lucky I used to work at the hospital or you would've had an infection..." She sat back down at her desk and began filling out paperwork. Nathan stood and slid behind the blue sheet that hid Pina. " Pina..." His deep voice spoke with such calmness and he was disappointed when Pina didn't turn. He sat on the side of her bed and stroked her hair like he did his little brother. Nathan lied beside her and cradled her head with a sigh. He had never felt so calm without his poor little brother. He cuddled her closer.

Hisoka walked to the other wall of the chalkboard and tallied votes. He called on each person and the tallies were in.

"This adds up to all 30 of our class." Hisoka stated, " Now, I am going to mark out Spanish, German, Tagalog, Yiddish, Icelandic, and Welsh and request that the 14 students that chose these languages choose Japanese, Italian, or Russian, or you can request all." He erased all but Italian, Japanese, and Russian and wrote all below it. He took tallies again.

" Looks like we're doing all, class! " Hisoka smiled and walked to his desk, writing something down on paper and returning to the board to erase. He wrote on the board in big letters, " Hello." And read it. " Now, can anyone tell me this phrase in our languages?"

Espio shot his hand up, " Japanese, Kon'nichiwa."

" Good! " Hisoka wrote it down and chose Flame, who had learned some Italian on Pina's island.

Skill cards were written as Hisoka spoke basic words, and the class repeated. Notes were taken about the grammar of each language, many of them getting confused.

Nathan had a bit of hope shining through the fire in his eyes, " So... I can stay..?"

There was a silence before Pina answered with a nod and Nathan showed a smile under the dark purple bangs hanging over his face. He maneuvered back into the bed and they curled under the sheets. Pina threw her arms around Nathan and buried her face into his chest, like when she hugged her mother. Nathan held her head, like he did his little brother.

They both had the first good dreams they hadn't had in a long time.
