Description Jon got a bit too excited when he saw a giant balloon in the fair... how is this little rat going to get back home? First piece with a character I created when I was 14.

Hi there! I'm from

First of all I absolutely love the concept! Its simple but beautiful. You did a great job with the colors as the warm tones are standing really well as opposed to the cooler tones in the environment, creating a good depth and contrast. You did well to define your focal points via warm colors so, well done! I like the overall shading and its great that you added a bit of blue touches to the balloon to simulate atmospheric bounced light.

I have few suggestions when it comes to lighting. I think you should consider where your key light is located when you are painting. From the highlights on the balloon its to the top left of the image therefore you should try to maintain the consistency of the lighting. Also, try to use a warm color for for the outdoor lighting (for this instance) and paint the shadows in a cooler color. If we take the mouse, it looks bit flat since it has received very little lighting. You should define the forms of it via highlights and shadows as I've suggested above. Don't forget to add a bit of blue hues to the shadowed areas to simulated bounced light from the atmosphere. Another trick you could try out is to keep hard edges in the lit areas and have soft/blurred edges in the shadows to define your forms well and to create a good depth.

Overall great work and I hope these suggestions will be helpful to you

This actually looks like it was out of Winnie the Pooh.

All he needs to do now is float next to a honey tree covered in mud.

Hello

This drawing is so cute. Your coloring style make this drawing adorable. The combination of red and blue are on point. I like how the texture on the sky is quite strong but somehow it's not overlapping the whole picture. I also like how you didn't give much value detail on this, which is good because for a cute drawing like this, giving too much value detail will ruin its cuteness.

As for the composition, overall this drawing is also on point. You could add one or two more buildings until it reach bottom middle of your drawing to make the composition more good. The perspective on the buildings is somewhat off to me. You could rotate it a little to the left for better perspective on tho whole picture. But it's not necessary, since for overall this drawing is already reach its purpose on becoming a cute drawing. My critics above is just pointing something out in case you want to experiment more on this. Keep up the good work

I'm from Projectcomment, like all the others,

Your sense of direction and angling is amazing, your drawing is adorable and gives off an original Winnie the pooh vibe due to the minimal lines and the colouring, which is a great thing as your drawing looks wonderful and nostalgic. It makes me wonder if there is a tale to go with this about a mouse getting swept away to an unknown land and having to find a way home.
Keep up the great work.

hi I'm from Projectcomment, and I would like to give you some critiques, First of all, this is a amazing drawing like, the watercolor is amazing, the hands are just perfect, like I'm kinda jelly XD, but I think the feet are a bit to large, I recommend shrinking them a bit, but hey, this is a really good! Keep up the work! <3

I´m from

This drawing is, without a doubt, one of the most adorable I've seen in my life.

That style of drawing so classic and that so Nostalgic coloring, gives a power of tenderness to the mouse that is flying in a balloon. By God, the composition is too tender.

The details are minimal, like the corner ones being buildings, but in this type of drawings this is beneficial because sometimes the details or their saturation can ruin them.

With so few things added, you can also see that it is a drawing that reminds me of that time that I might have lived, I just did not realize it or because it distracted me with DBZ.

You have a very classic and versatile style <)

ThumbHub Hi! I also suggest ProjectComment if you would like more critiques!
So I really have to say this a great piece! I love how its simple yet beautiful. It inspires innocence of thought and takes me back to being a kid again. I think you chose some amazing colors and the anatomical execution is phenomenal! I actually don't have anything to say about this piece that I think is wrong or needs improvement. When I look at this piece I am inspired to sit down and read old children's books that were my favorites growing up. I think you really hit the mark on this piece! Great job!
