Description This started out as practice on painting hair and clothes - and it turned out interesting so I decided to post it. The background in from 1010 and the wing's are Sarsa's - the bizarre maypoll dress comes from my own fevered imagination! It's nice to do a fairy too - they're always fun.

Thanks for looking.

same problem with carara. i got dynamic clothing into povray by exporting it as an object, in it's draped shape then importing it back. seemed to work.

i find it depends on how the model was made. for instance, the pleated skirt is brilliant; it drapes nicely and quickly. otehr dynamic models seem to take forever. i'm studying it's composition to see if i can discern any of the techniques that make it work so well.

wish i had vue, looks like a good rendering engine.

Oh that's a good idea, I could try something like that for importing.

I've only tried the starlight dress and shawl and poncho at rdna. They were fun to use, but if I'm honest I would rather spend the time painting now.

Vue is great and highly reccommended. It's great for landscapes - but not quite so good for rendering skin textures. You tend tyo need to do lots of postwork after to make them look less dead.

Folds are definately fun. You've made a good start here. I've only done a little fold painting myself: [link]

I am very surprised because your painting skill progresses very fast I love the lovely cloth (especially the blowing ribbons) and curling hair! I want you to draw clothes on my fae someday

Thanks Mimi. I was surprised this one turned out OK - I wasn't really thinking it would; sometimes I get lucky. And of course I'd draw clothes for your fae oneday.
