Haha, you have no idea! It's a constant inspiration to me to see how far I've come as well as how far I've got to go! You look at the vast world of illustration and its many masters, and you're instantly humbled, but inspired to try to equal them!

Just comes from studying photographs, taking your own photo reference whenever possible, and just studying the basic principles of light and shadow. As far as that last part is concerned, breaking down seemingly complex forms like human bodies into simpler easier to grasp forms like rods and cubes, makes figuring out lighting a whole lot easier!
