Nah...McBride didn't die,
he was rescued by a Tsunran woman and taken to their city/ship.
they healed his wounds and released him 2 weeks later.
McBride still lives in the coastal town of Boxford, where he tells the storey of what happened to him for free beer's.
He is known locally as "Crazy Charlie".
