Just a tip. JPEG SUCKS as a format for saving text. You should try to use something that doesn't base its compression algorithmes on lots of colours, and "gradients". Try using PNG, GIF, or making a PDF. Anyway, JPEG is good for photos, and pictures with lots of colours and shades.

PhotographyChannel In reply to gregersn [2005-08-17 06:05:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the tip - the second one was submitted as an html file to ease the download time for dial up users - we'll be submitting them in that format in the future as well.

this might help a lot. easy to follow and nice examples. thanks

I'd like to say that it's a bit of a pain to read though, with so big images it takes some loading do scroll :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lewcid In reply to jonasfx [2005-05-28 05:06:24 +0000 UTC]

Would have been much easier had dA just let me upload it as one image.
Unfortunately, dA doesnt really support any format that would make this easier.

But we have some ideas for the log for next time that should help.

good to hear
like a zip with html and the images? might be good considering all the text there's in the tut.

thanks for the reply. gonna try and visit the live (if I can figure out when it is lol)

Ah. So much better then reading a book! some of those photography books are written by people working for Canon or magazines. They always talk about having 5 thousand dollar equipment. While I would like a Canon 20D..no chance because of the cost. So thank you Photography Channel for giving info to a poor photographer here who just wants to make art. And I got some good tips from this. Awesome job guys.
