i couldnt help noticing the contrast between the simple way of life of the fisherman and the sophisticated machinery in the background. hence the title

This is one of the best contrast I have ever seen. I love it. The contrast between the traditional looking boatman and the brutal modern cranes is beauiftul. Well done on the Daily Dev.

Two critisms, one is the distacting dark things in the water, the other is the fact that you crop one of the cranes out at the top. Still I love this piece, beauitful 9.99/10.

Maybe the entire machinery (the fifth from your right to your left) could be in the picture, but that doesnt matter. Maybe the white border could be a little more thing, but that doesnt matter either.
Its a great photograph. I like the way you presented it.

Not the most original idea behind the picture, but as the teacher said, "There is nothing new under the sun." Even so, these "old world, new world" photos are a type I've always liked, and I liked this one. This is a picture that was probably best done black and white. It adds to the sort of sad feeling one gets when one looks at it. The man in the boat seems to tiny and helpless.

The future looks so monstruous. This is one of the greatest contrast photographs I've seen in a while. Technically it is very well executed too. Brilliant with no doubt.
