Dig out your Red/Cyan 3-D glasses for this one!

For the different versions of 3-D for my animations, I worked up a program to let me generate a wide variety of images including Top-and-Bottom (TaB), Side-By-Side (SBS), cross-eye, and six different methods of anaglyph 3-D making use of the classic Red-Blue(Cyan) colored glasses. The animation is 30 seconds long and contains a 5 second clip, repeated six times; each time using a different anaglyph method. Those methods are:

True: No color, best optics left → red, right → blue
Gray: much like "True" but with a bit of green (actually, as much green as blue)
Color: simply left red → red; right green, blue → green, blue
Half: still color, less retinal rivalry
Optimized: partial color, little retinal rivalry, no red
JK (mine): Optimized with some red added in

There are trade-off for all of these. Basically the "True" works test best - very few artifacts, but the color is hard to watch. The subsequent methods attempt to improve the color (starting with just "gray) but introduce more artifacts, typically "ghost" images. The matrices that are used to combine the image pairs are shown in the video.

I will be posting a version of the full animation in at least one of these methods. If you see one you like more than the others, let me know and I may favor that version.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and hope that a bare, non-gendered, alien chest does not exceed the need for a maturity flag.

As always - I recommend full screen. Also - a dark room is good.
