I haven't played demo, mainly because I don't want to spoil anything until the game comes out(hell I haven't even read any reviews or gone on the message boards). But I'll be watching for "dat ass" stare! XD

this is FANTASTIC!! im not ashamed to admit ive already played the demo a few times just to get me some Kaidan time! because like you said, that stare speaks volumes and my Shepard wants to hear all he has to say

Oh ME3 Kaidan... that was probably the only thing that I liked for 105% while playing demo. Finally Ashley and him get what they deserve! I also liked how it felt that after all they are different people with different personalities (mostly thanks to voiceover since the lines are almost identical as usual). And of course that mood that literally shouted: "I used to know her but I'm definitely going to get to know her again!" 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
As for the artwork, I must admit it's one of the best (imo) portraits of Kaidan. I mean it seems it's pretty difficult to catch his appearance but if it is so, your success in it is amazing! And I absolutely adore that the drawing looks like it's a portrait of existing people.

I loved Kaidan from the start. That hairdo just won me over from the moment I saw it. But boy oh boy am I LOVING that makeover he got! Plus now he's giving Shepard all these sexy, smoldering "let me molest you via my eyes" looks.
And Thank you so much! Kaidan and Alistair (Dragon age) are the two most difficult Bioware characters IMO to draw well. Kaidan's nose, jaw, chin and eyebrows really define how the drawing will emulate him. People will put too much time into his hair, when really that's not what makes him LOOK like Kaidan (But it is the funnest part to draw haha.) Lately I've been trying my hand at a more 'realistic' style, it's very different from what I was doing a year ago, but it's been a nice challenge. And I totally modeled Kiva after a dear friend of mine who is a Marine.

I do share your feelings, I loved him from the very beginning too. It seems to me, he's the first LI-character(among men) who at least tries to care for Shepard. Another one is Jacob and his dialogue when he asks her what she feels waking up alive after 2 years of being literally dead is awesome but it's obvious that Jacob is not Kaidan's level of awesomeness, at least for me though I have nothing against him in common. In Garrus-Shepard and Thane-Shepard relationship she seems to be the person who is taking care and it's ok since both Garrus and Thane need her to comfort them according to events they went through. And as for Kaidan (probably it's all fault of the fact their romance takes place in 1st game when everyone wasn't that obsessed with themselves)it looks like he really wants to protect her, to help her, to care for her but is hesitating if this is appropriate cause after all she's that legendary Shepard and plus his superior officer.
Actually I have no idea why romances for female Shepard feels more sincere (or more logical?) in ME1 than in ME2 but Kaidan is like one of the most realistic characters in ME and by saying that I mean that you have much more chances to meet a person like him irl and imo it makes the story more real.

Yep, I noticed that Alistair is diffucult as hell to draw right as well. But after all if you draw Kaidan's hair, people can still recognise him, I guess that's why it seems to be one of the "draw-first" features of his appearance among the artists.
And as I've already said, I like your "realistic" style like INDEED.

Well, considering how crazy I'm going with anticipation for this game(and the chance to get him back for my poor patient Emily XD), Shep will be granting that wish as soon as the game lets me.
I love their pose, especially the way her hand is sliding up behind his ear.
