This little Fae just loves collecting stars...She grants the wishes that have been placed upon them by the mortals.
I'm sure if I'm entirely happy with this painting, but she'll do. I'm sick of looking at her

I have so many problems drawing kids, and man this is totally amazing!

Yeah, kids can be tricky if you're not used to drawing them, but I found that it was a tad easier than drawing an adult. Everything is shorter & there's less in the way of curves that you have to worry about. The main challenge was her face - trying to make sure it looked child-like. The last thing I wanted was a semi-adult head on a kids body!

Very sweet.. collecting things in the bottom of a dress is such a childish thinng to do, this really adds to the innocent feel of your picture

Cute! Im was expecting the collecting to be done by hand, but I love it how you've made her catching the stars in her dress instead. I don't believe I've ever seen that done before, so congrats on an original and well-executed idea! The design on the wing is cute too.

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about it! 
I just had this image in my head of a little girl/faery with stars cradled in her dress... My muse isn't big on accompanying explanations, but she is big on whip cracking...

I'm afraid I can't really take the praise for the background - It kind of blended itself really...
I just threw colour saturated puddles of water at the paper.
But I have to agree, I like the textures - gives it a bit more interest...
