Description
Muzafr commissioned byI used the old reference sheet here The first anthro form at the bottom.
Here is the new ref sheet:

This is the most detail intensive piece I've made to date. All those spikes...so many spikes. The spikes are pipe cleaners with yarn wrapped around them then sealed with black hot glue. Pipe cleaners were flexible enough to bend when she is moved, regular wire was to stiff. She has 44 spikes made this way. The claws are also done this way at the tip. The spikes like this stop at the back of the neck. From back of the neck down to the tail are embroidery thread spikes, there are 28 of them.
The hands and feet are wired so they can be posed. The fingers and toes are crocheted using the same yarn as the rest, but the 4 ply yarn was split to make it thinner. I also did the ears and brow pieces this way. Its a good way to get the same color yarn in a different size, similar to how you use two strands of yarn at the same time to increase the size.
The red, blue, and black details on the face were sewn on. I wanted to needle felt them originally, but the strips were too narrow for me. The mouth is embroidery thread. The peachy/pink color on the ears is made with marker. The little pockets are made with split yarn.
